Vycor Medical Inc. launches the ViewSite™
Brain Access System
at 2008 CNS meeting in Orlando
The ViewSite™ Brain Access System (VBAS), a revolutionary new device for
brain retraction had a successful launch at the 2008 Congress of
Neurological Surgeons held in Orlando, Florida in September. The full
range of 12 sizes of the TC model were displayed by each
width size – 12mm, 17mm, 21mm and 28mm. The level of interest that the VBAS generated was evident by the many neurosurgeons who inquired for
more information and to trial the device at their institution.
There were clinical presentations followed by a question and answer
period from two long term users of the VBAS and medical advisors to
Vycor – Dr. Konstantin V. Slavin from the University of Illinois in
Chicago and Dr. David J. Langer from St. Lukes Roosevelt Hospital in New
York. The presentations drew large audiences so the Congress attendees
could see and hear the clinical case experiences the presenters were
able to confer to their peers.
